Bay Area Ridge Trail
If hiking the entire Bay Area Ridge Trail is on your list, you’ll be able to check off the Bolinas Ridge segment on this trip—we’ll be covering it together.
Trip Details
Join us for a 2-night retreat amongst the redwoods of Samuel P. Taylor State Park in Lagunitas, CA. This park offers a peaceful escape with towering coast redwoods, lush ferns, and winding streams. It's a great place to explore the natural beauty of the Bay Area, with a variety of trails through vibrant redwood groves and sunny grasslands. During our visit, we’ll hike sections of the Bay Area Ridge Trail and immerse ourselves in forest bathing and yoga. (Yoga is beginner friendly, and optional!)

Making a Difference
We're proud to donate 10% of proceeds from this event to Bay Area Ridge Trail in support of the Ridge Trail Action Fund -- helping reach 50 miles of trail in the next 5 years. By joining us, you're not only treating yourself to an unforgettable outdoor experience - you’re also helping create lasting impact. Let’s adventure with purpose!

Hikes
Our longest hike will be ~10 miles, with minimal elevation gain. We'll hike at whatever pace works best for the group (it's not a race!), with plenty of water and snack breaks while we're taking in the views of Bolinas and old growth redwoods. We may also take shorter distance hike that will range between 1 and 3 miles.
Campground Amenities
Restrooms (with flushing toilets!), picnic tables, potable water, and fire pits.
The Redwoods
Spending time in redwood forests has been shown to lower cortisol levels, reduce blood pressure, and enhance mood—benefits linked to the calming effects of phytoncides and the sensory immersion of nature. Forest bathing or Shinrin-yoku, has been shown to enhance mental clarity, reduce symptoms of anxiety and depression, and boost immune function by encouraging mindful, sensory engagement with the natural environment.
